Los Angeles, CA – March 03, 2009-- With businesses everywhere actively seeking new ways to remain successful during the current economic downturn, Latino microbusiness owners across Southern California continue to find business optimization and growth opportunities at El Clasificado’s “Su Socio de Negocios” small business networking breakfasts.
Hosted on Wednesday, February 11th, the latest "Su Socio de Negocios" featured two keynote presentations about Networking by marketing experts Leonor McCall-Rodriguez of One Voice Insurance Services and Cristina Barvo-Isaza of CREST Creative Strategies. After learning valuable tips for becoming a skilled networker, and using the art of networking to identify and maximize business opportunities, the engaged audience quickly put their new skills to use by engaging in a lively networking session of their own with their 80+ small business owner peers in attendance.
“I am looking for ways to grow my business, and Su Socio de Negocios is a great way for me to obtain clear, easy to incorporate ideas,” noted Veronica Gomez of Baja Furnishing in Huntington Park, a small business owner who has participated in El Clasificado’s events since July 2008. "These business events are helping me reach my goal of opening a store-front shop for my home-based business."
For added support,El Clasificado also launched recently a weekly “Su Socio de Negocios” electronic newsletter with breaking business news stories and practical business solutions in Spanish for the Hispanic entrepreneur. The newsletter reaches approximately 4,000 small business owners every week.
“With a growth rate of nearly ten percent over the past five years, according to Hispanic Business Magazine, the Latino small business community is having an increasing impact on this country,” explained Martha de la Torre, Publisher and CEO of El Clasificado. “More than ever, Latino businesses need support and information in their language and that is precisely the gap that Su Socio de Negocios is bridging. The major sponsors at our events allow for big businesses to reach out to small business entrepreneurs, and have them learn from each other’s challenges and opportunities."
Sponsors for this "Su Socio de Negocios" small business breakfast event were Aetna,Bancomer, Long Beach Small Business Development Center,State Farm and Verizon. The free breakfast networking seminar also consisted of five exhibitor booths, a complimentary breakfast, and an active networking session in addition to the presentations. The next “Su Socio de Negocios” breakfast event is scheduled to take place on April 22, 2009.
"Su Socio de Negocios" is a series of free small business training workshops in Spanish presented throughout the year.
