Assistant/Associate Professor of Finance - Tenure Track Robins School of Business, University of Richmond The Finance Department at the Robins School of Business invites applications for two tenure-track positions at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor, to begin in August 2022. Qualified candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Finance. Applicants may be ABD, but must complete the Ph.D. by the start date. The successful candidate must have the ability to teach courses in corporate finance and have a strong commitment to excellence in both teaching and research. In addition to corporate finance, applicants with an interest in teaching international finance, investments, and fixed income and derivatives are also encouraged to apply. Generally, a tenure-track faculty member teaches five sections per year with an average class size of 20-25 students and will have two different course preparations. Successful candidates should have teaching experience as an independent instructor and be able to provide evidence of effective teaching. In addition to excellence in the classroom, the department expects a commitment to meaningful academic research and a record of scholarly achievement evidenced by articles published, forthcoming, or in advanced stages of review at high-quality academic journals. Database subscriptions include WRDS, Compustat, CRSP, and Datastream. The Lessing Trading Floor provides a modern finance lab with twelve Bloomberg terminals, Morningstar, and other resources to support experiential investment programs such as our Junior Analyst seminars and Student Managed Investment Fund. There is also the ability to have funding for additional data sources.
