Comprehensive Planner I/IICity of Westminster The City of Westminster is seeking a Comprehensive Planner I or Comprehensive Planner II for the Department of Community Planning and Development. Responsible for assisting in the formulation and implementation of the Citys Comprehensive Plan, Zoning Ordinance, Planning Services and Policies, and Water and Sewer Allocation Policy; planning, directing, and implementing the Citys Main Street and economic development programs; writing and managing grants from DHCD, MHT, and other downtown grant programs; developing and implementing programs and strategies for encouraging new business growth and location, existing business retention, and expansion; and, serving as a liaison with City businesses; provide staff support to various Boards and Commission and making public presentations. Requires a bachelors degree in municipal planning or related field and 3 to 5 years of related experience in a governmental setting or masters degree in urban, regional, or community planning or equivalent combination of education, training, and related experience. Minimum salaries: Planner I - $56,863.21, Planner II - $61,987.28. A higher salary considered DOE and qualifications. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life insurance and pension plan.
