The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) has an opening for a tenure track faculty position in Applied Mathematics, starting from August 2023. Candidates should have finished their Ph.D. in applied mathematics (or related fields) before their appointment start date. A successful candidate will be expected to have a strong background in applied and/or computational mathematics, conduct independent research and have research synergy with current faculty members, and teach courses in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, UMBC. Applicants should submit (a) a curriculum vitae that includes publications; (b) a description of research interests and research plans; (c) a brief teaching statement; (d) a diversity statement; and (e) have at least three letters of recommendation submitted using the Interfolio system: https://apply.interfolio.com/115317 .
