Data Scientist II

Data Scientist II Corteva Agriscience LLC seeks a FT Data Scientist II based in Johnston, IA. The Data Scientist II will be responsible for data visualization, integration, engineering and analysis, machine learning, software development, and geospatial analysis. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the data integration and software engineering processes; conducting crop simulation analysis; and performing digital TPE application development and providing support. Req: Master's degree or equivalent in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field. & 2 years related exp. Must also have 12 months of exp with the following: (1) using geospatial data and performing statistical and quantitative analysis, explanatory and high complexity predictive modeling and fact-based management to drive decision making and provide insight to ensure quality of the product and models used; (2) developing spatial crop simulation implementation for both inputs and outputs; (3) developing various prototyping and visualization digital environment tools and interfaces using soil and environmental data models, geospatial python and machine learning; (4) performing machine learning and multidimensional data analysis using dimensional reduction and clustering algorithms; and (5) utilizing the following tools/technologies: Python, R, Linux Bash and Environment Configuration, database and rest API development, GDAL, QGIS, MIDAS API data systems, CAAS API systems, AWS EC2 and ECS, Docker, POSTGRE, and POSTGIS databases, SCIPY, XARRAY, NetCDF, Spotfire, and Javascript. Will accept experience gained before, during or after Master's program. This position requires domestic travel less than 5% of the time.
