EQUIPMENT OPERATOR I - STREET MAINTENANCE SIGN TECHNICIAN EQUIPMENT OPERATOR I - SEWER MAINTENANCE WORKER Hourly wage range of $24.73-$27.73 Benefits include: top-tier health insurance, defined benefit retirement plan, generous paid-time off, paid parental leave, and more The City of Dubuque invites applications for the positions of Street Maintenance Sign Technician and Sewer Maintenance Worker. The successful candidates will operate or tend machinery equipped with scoops, shovels, or buckets, to excavate and load loose materials. Under general direction of the Field Supervisor, the Equipment Operator I will operate medium and heavy equipment; and perform and supervise performance of a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance, construction and operation of public works facilities; and performs related work as required. These positions require a minimum age of 18, a high school diploma or equivalent; and at least one years' experience operating light, medium, and heavy construction equipment. The Sewer Maintenance Worker requires at least one years' experience in sanitary and storm sewer maintenance and repairs; possession of a Class B CDL with air brakes, combination, and tanker endorsements and ability to obtain and maintain an upgraded Class A CDL; ability to obtain and maintain certification for respiratory use in confined spaces within one year of starting date; or any equivalent combination of experience and education is required. Successful candidates will possess the ability to follow a management philosophy that is input oriented and values equity, problem solving and the development of partnerships; and the desire to be part of an organization that values service, people, integrity, responsibility, innovation and teamwork.
