Product Analyst Summary of Duties The product analyst position supports the development and maintenance of property and casualty insurance products with shared responsibilities for growth and profitability. This includes analysis of demographics, competitors, and regulatory statutes to create recommendations and proposals for product development. Specific duties include supports the development and implementation of new and enhanced products for personal and commercial lines; helps to maintain the process for product strategy; proactively identifies product opportunities; creates, maintains, and enhances product rate manuals, rule manuals, and coverage forms for assigned states and lines of business; monitors competitor and rating bureau actions that impact our insurance operations; and performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned or directed. Necessary Qualifications Applicants must possess an Associate degree or Business School completion, or equivalent, related experience (preferred); basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office; comprehensive understanding of various functions of an insurance company, such as underwriting, rating, pricing, and claims; strong planning, organizational, and project management skills; excellent listening and communications skills, including written and verbal; self-motivated with a get-it-done attitude; constant attention to detail, creative thinking and working under tight deadlines; flexibility to handle assignments in various states of completion at the same time; ability to work independently under general supervision; ability to work as a team player to deliver results effectively and efficiently to a variety of customers; and excellent judgment and decision-making ability. CPCU, ARM, AU or other relevant insurance industry designations are desired.
