Cross Valley Water District is seeking a Water Quality Utility Service Worker with a passion for public service providing quality clean water. The District spans approx. 40 miles over south Snohomish County, serves over 7,500 connections, operates 11 separate wells, 1 water treatment plant and 49 PRV stations. Position Purpose : This position is responsible for developing, updating and overseeing the District's water quality treatment and monitoring programs to maintain compliance with state and federal laws and regulations This position performs skilled work monitoring, testing and adjusting water quality within treatment plant, pump stations, reservoirs, and the water distribution system. This position monitors and adjusts chemical dosages and chemical pumping rates, performs minor and routine maintenance of related equipment and systems, and operates, maintains, and performs routine cleaning of treatment plant and other facilities. This position requires little or no supervision. Essential Job Functions: Duties and responsibilities include those listed below, as well as other duties as assigned from time to time. (Any one position may not include all of the duties listed nor do the listed examples include all tasks, which may be found in positions of this class.) Coordinates, operates, and monitors the District's water treatment program. Conducts sampling, testing, and reporting to assure compliance with state and federal regulations. Performs chlorination sampling, and water use readings for all wells, booster stations, and sewer lift stations. Collects bacteriological, lead and other water samples. Performs daily water treatment plant readings. Conducts sampling for iron, manganese, and chlorine. Mixes chemicals and orders chlorine as needed. Adjusts pumps for chemical addition. Monitors and adjusts chemical dosages and chemical pumping rates. Monitors chemical inventories. Maintains wells and pumping stations. Performs major and minor tre
