East Bay Advanced Care (EBAC; formerly the East Bay AIDS Center) is a regional and national leader in the comprehensive care of persons with HIV infection, along with biomedical HIV prevention. Founded in 1987 and based in Oakland, CA, EBAC is a community service program of Sutter Health's Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, a not-for-profit, community-based hospital, and serves a diverse patient population in the East San Francisco Bay region including Alameda and Contra Costa Counties, and other adjacent communities. Professional medical services are provided at EBAC by the EBAC Medical Group (EBACMG). EBACMG seeks a part or full-time MD/DO physician, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician's Assistant -- with significant experience in HIV clinical care and with diverse patient populations. The successful candidate will follow his/her/their own patient panel and participate in team-oriented care. They may also assist in clinical research at EBAC, and assist on clinic-related projects as required. The MD/DO provider will also consult on and follow patients requiring inpatient care, in rotation with other EBAC physicians. If boarded in Infectious Diseases, there are also potential opportunities for inpatient and outpatient general infectious diseases. EBAC's team of HIV specialists includes highly trained physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, pharmacists, medical assistants, social workers and clinical researchers who are dedicated to providing excellent outpatient care and inpatient clinical care. EBAC also offers state-of-the-art biomedical prevention services, including PrEP, PEP, and other sexual health services, to those at risk of HIV infection; comprehensive care for transgender individuals, regardless of HIV status; and treatment for hepatitis C. EBAC's key services include: HIV/AIDS specialty care HIV prevention program Transgender primary care 24-hour access to an EBAC provider Phone support from EBAC advice nurse during clinic hours Consultative inpatient care and management of inpatient to outpatient transitions Youth services program HCV and other viral hepatitis testing and treatment initiative Case management Psychiatric services on staff Dermatology services on staff Clinical research program, including
