Hiring Bilingual Kitchen Head (Japanese Restaurant)

Japanese Restaurant in Glendale is looking for an experienced Bilingual Lead Cook.

We are looking for a responsible, organized and bilingual person in English and Spanish.

This is a full-time hourly position. The person should be able to work on the line during service and also help keep the kitchen organized, clean, and consistent.

Responsibilities:

• Work on the line during service
• Assist with quality, portions, and presentation of dishes

• Review daily preparation and organization

• Assist with inventory and product rotation

• Support with schedules and equipment coverage

• Guide and train kitchen staff when needed
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and good food handling practices

• Communicate with management about product, personnel and operation

Requirements:

• Experience in Japanese restaurant cooking
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required
• Responsible, punctual and organized
• Available for busy evenings, weekends and shifts
• Good attitude and ability to lead by example

Pay: $18-20 per hour, based on experience.

During the training period, you will work 35–37 hours per week. After the training period ends, you will be scheduled for 53 hours per week, and overtime pay will be provided. Tips will be provided separately.
