Manufacturing Machine Operator (Extrusion, Rolling Mill & Wire Drawing)

In this role, you will operate industrial equipment used to manufacture high-quality copper and alloy products through extrusion, rolling mill, and wire drawing processes. Responsibilities As a Manufacturing Machine Operator, you will: Operate extrusion, rolling mill, wire drawing, or other industrial production equipment safely and efficiently. Inspect machinery and auxiliary equipment before startup to ensure proper operation. Set up machines and adjust operating parameters according to production specifications. Monitor machine performance and product quality throughout the manufacturing process. Perform routine quality checks and collect product samples for inspection and testing. Use measuring tools and gauges to verify products meet quality standards. Record production quantities, downtime, scrap, and completed work in SAP or other production systems. Complete production reports and required documentation accurately. Identify process abnormalities and report equipment malfunctions to supervisors or maintenance. Generate maintenance requests when equipment requires repair or preventive maintenance. Assist with equipment changeovers and basic troubleshooting as needed. Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and PPE requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following 5S principles. Work collaboratively with production, quality, and maintenance teams to meet daily production goals. Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED preferred. Experience At least 1 year of experience operating industrial manufacturing equipment. Experience with extrusion, rolling mills, wire drawing, metal manufacturing, machining, or similar production equipment is preferred. Candidates with experience operating any type of industrial machinery are encouraged to apply. Preferred Skills Experience operating industrial manufacturing equipment. Ability to read work instructions and production specifications. Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality standards. Experience using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, or gauges is a plus. Experience operating overhead cranes is preferred. Basic computer skills and experience entering production data into SAP or other manufacturing software. Ability to recognize equipment issues and communicate them promptly. Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Work in a manufacturing environment with heat, noise, and moving machinery. Ability to bend, reach, climb, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
