Position Overview Section

We are seeking a dependable Supply Technician to support medical logistics operations at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. This position is responsible for receiving, storing, inventorying, transporting, and issuing medical supplies and equipment while maintaining compliance with U.S. Air Force, Department of Defense (DoD), OSHA, and Air Force Occupational Safety and Health (AFOSH) standards.

The ideal candidate has experience in warehouse or supply operations, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced medical logistics environment.



Essential Job Functions

Supply & Warehouse Operations

Receive, inspect, store, issue, and dispose of medical supplies and equipment.
Verify incoming shipments against receiving documentation and report discrepancies or damaged items.
Route materials to designated storage locations using established procedures.
Store, stack, palletize, and organize inventory in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
Remove supplies from storage, prepare items for shipment, and support distribution activities.
Assist with cataloging, property utilization, and inventory documentation.
Inventory Management

Perform routine inventory counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
Monitor stored materials for damage, deterioration, and expiration.
Verify the receipt, storage, and issue of incoming medical supplies.
Maintain accurate inventory records within established supply systems.
Medical Logistics Support

Apply special handling procedures for:
Controlled medical items
Medical gases
Precious metals
Hazardous materials
Refrigerated and frozen supplies
Transport supplies and equipment between medical logistics facilities, base support activities, and customer locations.
Operate hand trucks and other material handling equipment safely.
Safety & Housekeeping

Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization by:
Sweeping and mopping warehouse floors
Cleaning warehouse and equipment storage areas
Removing trash and debris
Recycling cardboard and packaging materials
Follow OSHA and Air Force Occupational Safety and Health (AFOSH) regulations.
Properly use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
Minimum Position Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Minimum 6 months of experience in a warehouse, supply, or logistics environment (medical supply experience preferred).
Working knowledge of U.S. Air Force supply systems, including the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) system.
Familiarity with military supply policies, procedures, nomenclature, and inventory management practices.
Valid U.S. driver's license.
Ability to safely operate hand trucks and material handling equipment.
Knowledge of OSHA and Air Force Occupational Safety and Health (AFOSH) safety standards.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform routine physical warehouse activities, including standing, walking, bending, and moving supplies.
Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) prior to performance.
Highly Desired Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
Experience working in a Military Treatment Facility (MTF) logistics department.
Prior U.S. Air Force logistics experience, particularly as a 4A1 Medical Logistics specialist.
Experience handling controlled medical items, hazardous materials, or cold-chain medical supplies.
Experience with DMLSS inventory management and medical warehouse operations.
