Press Operator II Gannett Publishing Services Rockaway, NJ The Rockaway Facility is looking for a full time Press Operator to assist with daily production on our double wide presses. Under the direction of press management & supervisorsthe Press Operator Il is assigned to perform printing related tasks that may include, but are not limited to: working as Primary Ink setting or Folder operator, oversight of plate processing; spotting plates; reel set-up & operation; newsprint staging; roll preparation; CMYK ink setting; advanced press operational controls; equipment maintenance; and specified reporting. Every member of the pressroom staff constantly strives to achieve the following goals, and the contribution of every press operator is necessary for success. The primary objective is to support efficient press operations as needed to achieve & maintain on-time production, product quality standards, low waste, and operational safety. Optimum quality of printed products. Observance of all scheduled start and stop times. Conservation of material resources, especially newsprint. A clean and safe working environment.
