We are an independently-owned pediatric practice in central Austin seeking an additional Pediatrician to join our team. This physician will provide care for our patients including evaluation, assessment, treatment and care planning. Appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills are required. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with both excellent clinical and interpersonal skills, and a desire to connect with our pediatric patients and their families. Our practice is well respected and continues to expand. We currently have four full time physicians, two regular part time locum physicians, and are eager to add to our strong group of MDs. Led by two physician owners, GROW practices collaborative medicine by including fellow physicians in patient care and procedural decisions. Along with our Practice Administrator, we offer a respectful and supportive workplace where providers and clinic staff freely communicate to achieve the absolute best patient care. With a support staff that averages about 18-22 team members, our priority is to offer assistance and support to our physicians, as they care for our patients. We are a diverse and inclusive workplace and are privileged to serve all families in Austin with equal care and respect. The Details: Either part-time or full-time commitments considered. Schedule flexibility available. Night and weekend call is shared with two other private practices. Every physician is in rotation for both the nighttime and weekend call schedule. As we do employ an afterhours RN triage service, physicians receive very few, if any, calls. Occasional Saturday morning half day "same-day sick" clinic, which serves all three practices. When divided amongst all physicians in rotation, this equals a commitment approximately once every 12 weeks. Holidays are shared in a similar way, and rotated amongst physicians on call. The practice is closed on Christmas, New Years Day, and Thanksgiving, as well as three additional minor holidays. Major Responsibilities/Tasks: Systematically assesses patients' health status, arrives at appropriate diagnosis(es), and implements care plan for effective clinical outcomes.
