The irresistible fragrance of the grill…wafting around the house…over the fence…and down the street to the envy of all the neighbors as Mom keeps plates full and one eye on the kids.This is the Backyard. Where breezes blow a little softer, smiles come a little easier, and everything just seems to taste a little better.It’s here we found our real-life inspiration for Roost Backyard Grill.Calling up memories of our own families – brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, second cousins once removed (and the occasional party crasher) – we were fondly reminded of the delicious sights, sounds and smells that came with gathering together around the grill.Our meal may not have been extravagant, but to us it was a feast: platters of tender, succulent meat – juicy with just the right amount of char; sides and salads lovingly prepared from passed-down recipes and scratch ingredients; fresh rolls for the sandwich-makers and sauces for the dippers. And then there were mother’s famous desserts for an ending that was truly sweet. We took the best of the backyard: the fun, the feel, the freshness, even the old family recipes, and turned it into a place with modern flare. A place to share, experience and enjoy. A place to Roost.
