Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Senior, Lead or Senior Lead Environmental Specialist within the Technical and Environmental Services Group. This position will support MES client Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) The Secretary's Office (TS0) Office of Environment (OE) at their headquarters in Hanover, MD. This position will provide technical support to the daily operations of the OE and help deliver mission critical priorities for MDOT. Estimated Pay Range: $48,191.52 - $112,251.00 Benefits: Health Insurance with choice of medical plan and prescription, dental, vision, and life and disability insurance options, along with flexible spending accounts 401K retirement savings program with generous agency match Paid vacation, personal and sick leave Ten paid holidays per year Tuition assistance Minimum Requirements: All levels require a bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, ecology or a related field from an accredited college or university and a valid driver's license with less than 5 points. Senior Environmental Specialist : three years of experience in environmental science, regulations, engineering or management. One year of experience must have included responsibility managing environmental projects and providing leadership to professional and technical staff. Applicants may substitute an applicable advanced education degree for the required experience. Lead Environmental Specialist - five years of experience in environmental science, regulations, engineering or management, two years of which must have included responsibility managing environmental projects. Assignment to some locations may require two years of supervising environmental professional and technical staff. Applicants may substitute an applicable advanced education degree for up to two years of required experience. Senior Lead Environmetal Specialist - six years of experience in environmental science, regulations, engineering or management, three years of which must have included responsibility managing environmental projects.
