Position Summary: The College of Health and Human Sciences (CHHS) at Southern Illinois University Carbondale is seeking qualified applicants for an and exciting opportunity as an Associate/Full Professor position within the developing Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program in the School of Health Sciences, beginning August 16, 2023. The selected individual will serve as the Program Director and faculty member for the developing DPT program. This is a continuing, nine-month, tenure track position. Tenure may be granted at the time of hire for individuals with a proven track record of sufficient academic scholarship per university guidelines. Program directors are offered an additional summer appointment for program director duties and may also be eligible for summer teaching opportunities within the DPT program. The mission of the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program through Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC) is to prepare allied health professionals to become Physical Therapists who value and strive to be leaders in professional roles and contribute to continuing the growth of the Physical Therapy profession through education and commitment to improving health care of the people and communities we serve. Promising new faculty in CHHS are offered competitive startup packages, including graduate/undergraduate assistant support, course releases, and summer salary designed to jump-start research scholarship. Duties and Responsibilities: Provide program leadership serving as the program director for the DPT program. Perform all related duties related to achieving and maintaining CAPTE program accreditation. Perform program assessment activities. Perform duties associated with curriculum and program development. Participate in the preparation and implementation of articulation agreements with community colleges and associated academic institutions. Evaluate professional certificates to make recommendations for granting potential transfer credit. Provide direct classroom/laboratory/clinical instruction and office hours as assigned. Teach via online and traditional delivery methods. Provide indirect teaching, such as: student selection, student advisement, recruitment, and retention for the DPT program. Conduct scholarly re
