Job Summary: This position is responsible for creating a climate conducive to fundraising by developing and securing gifts of $25,000+ for Frontier Nursing University's strategic priorities. Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer, the Senior Philanthropy & Alumni Officer will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and successfully stewarding qualified prospects and donors. The Officer will collaborate and meet regularly with administrators, faculty, and staff to understand major priorities and goals, and to provide timely information on donor cultivation. The Officer will be responsible for planning and implementing successful alumni engagement plans, and will be responsible for direct implementation of and support of Frontier's Alumni Advisory Council. Supervisor Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibility. Duties and Responsibilities: Manage a portfolio of 150-175 prospects to raise a minimum of $1 Million per year. Frequent travel required for in-person meetings to achieve a goal of 100+ meetings per year. Work with supervisors, administrators, faculty and staff to devise specific strategies and timetables for the successful solicitation of individuals, including the use of planned giving vehicles: gift annuities, trusts, and bequests to assure the best use of time, budget and personnel. Develop and write proposals and correspondence to prospective donors. Utilize Frontier's donor management CRM and screening mechanisms to research prospects in preparation for cultivation. Document contact reports on meetings and interactions with alumni and friends in the donor management system. Keep donors up to date on their gifts and impact; happenings at the University in their areas of interest; and major changes within the University as a whole. Inform departments while moving prospects through the major gift lifecycle. Integrate Alumni Relations and University event activities as a component of the overall development strategy. Responsible for the management, direction and cultivation of Frontier's Alumni Advisory Council. Create a yearly plan for alumni engagement, in conjunction with the Chief Advancement Officer.
