Shipping & Receiving Clerk en Carson

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Job description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Receiving incoming customer supplied or purchased goods.
Ship completed items as directed by company truck, or delivery service.
Assure all items received are logged: trace-ability is establish and maintained while in receiving area.
Sketch is completed or item dimensions given for all customer supplied hardware for identification purposes.
Inspect received items to determine if there is any sign of shipping damage or
deterioration.

Use material handling equipment as required to load or un-load trucks, including forklift.
Use material handling equipment to move boxes and/or pallets within the facility
Assure items being shipped have proper documentation including certification of conformance, purchase order and sufficient shipping information to assure arrival at the final destination.
Assure items shipped are sufficiently packaged and protected to prevent damage or
deterioration during shipment.

Control damaged or nonconforming items until disposition is determined.
Follow company safety policies and procedures.
Report any unsafe or hazardous working conditions to management.
Participate in meetings as required by management.
Must be able to interpret customer purchase orders, specifications, and work order instructions.
Must be able to package and handle material per company, customer and industry specifications.
