Electrical Maintenance Tech

Job description:

Position Title: Electrician
Location: City of Industry, CA

This is a 2nd shift position, must be available to work overtime and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

Install electrical systems and related equipment.
Troubleshoot, test, maintain, and evaluate equipment using electronic instruments.
Install and repair electrical systems on production machinery.
Perform skilled electrical work, including sizing and installing conduit.
Identify and specify materials required for project work.
Maintain accurate records for Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and preventive maintenance activities; complete scheduled preventive maintenance work orders.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Follow all facility safety practices and procedures.
Attend meetings as required.
Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives and events.
Coordinate and interact with contractors as needed.
Assist with parts inventory and cycle counts.
Follow and apply Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Carry out environmental compliance tasks as appropriate to the position.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Education & Qualifications

Electrical certification required in General Industrial Electricity and Motor Controls.
Certification or training in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) is preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Must provide necessary personal hand tools required to perform job duties.
Skills & Experience

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
Basic computer literacy required.
Ability to read and interpret ladder logic controls and PLC systems.
Ability to train and mentor others when needed.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Ability to read and interpret logic diagrams.
Experience troubleshooting Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) for AC/DC systems.
Proficiency in using electrical and electronic testing equipment.
Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics related to electrical and electronic equipment.
