This position works closely with environmental coordinators, engineers, plant personnel, and other environmental professionals at each Basin Electric facility to ensure compliance with applicable water and waste laws, and coordinate a comprehensive approach to achieving compliance with all environmental laws and requirements at all Basin Electric facilities through interaction with state and federal regulatory agencies, permit application preparation and submittal, and routine reporting. The incumbent serves as the water and, waste management control subject matter expert during the periodic facility audits or reviews. This position also provides backup to other positions within the environmental services division, and may be assigned to various environmental permitting projects or project teams, depending on the project requirements and the workloads of other environmental service professionals.Qualifications:To perform effectively in this position, the incumbent must have knowledge of power plant design and operation; and pollution control technologies, regulations, and related environmental sciences.
