Manage and direct transmission studies associated with requests for transmission service through the Open Access Same Time Information System (OASIS). Manage and direct transmission studies, information and data submittal to meet the NERC compliance requirements of the Transmission Services section. This position will coordinate and represent the Cooperative in the regional planning processes of the Southwest Power Pool and other regional and local planning entities as appropriate. This position is identified as a Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) related position, which may allow physical and/or logical access to Bulk Electric System (BES) cyber related assets or systems.Essential Functions: Coordinates and represents the Cooperative in the regional planning processes of the Southwest Power Pool and other regional and local planning entities as appropriate. Determines what transmission will be needed to serve these load requirements. Coordinates and exchanges data with other departments on generation scheduling, short circuit data, generator design, transformer design, and transmission line design specifications. Conducts the necessary long range transmission studies. Responsible for managing and directing the performance of the transmission studies associated with these transmission requests and the accompanying contract requirements.
