Vice President, Human ResourcesBasin Electric Power Cooperative, a member-owned G&T cooperative, isseeking candidates for the position of Vice President, Human Resources.Basin Electric Power Cooperative (BEPC) is a not-for-profit generationand transmission cooperative that provides wholesale power supply andtransmission service to 131 rural electric cooperatives across nine statesincluding facilities located in Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, andWyoming. Basin Electric owns over 2,000 miles of high-voltage transmissionfacilities, and operates 5,222 megawatts (MW) of generating resources,comprised of coal, gas, oil, renewable, and distributed energy. Basin Electricalso has two wholly-owned, for-profit subsidiaries, Dakota GasificationCompany and Dakota Coal Company.The VP, Human Resources provides leadership to ensure requirements aremet for the Cooperative in the following functional areas of Human Resources:Compensation and Benefits; Recruitment, EEO & Affirmative Action; andLearning & Development.Applicants for this position must have broad human resources experiencecovering EEO and affirmative action, salary administration, recruitment,employee and leadership development, and benefit programs. The incumbentmust also grasp the general business problems facing the Cooperativeand be able to develop human resources programs to meet these generalbusiness concerns. Such skills are acquired through a four-year degreein a business or human resources related field and ten years of advancedhuman resources experience, including not less than five years in a humanresources management role or a strong ability and proven long-term successin managing staff and teams.
