Job Summary:
The Residential Painter is responsible for preparing and painting interior and exterior surfaces of residential properties. This role requires attention to detail, knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and the ability to deliver high-quality finishes while maintaining safety and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, patching, caulking, and priming
Paint interior walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and cabinets
Paint exterior surfaces including siding, stucco, fences, trim, and doors
Protect furniture, flooring, and landscaping with drop cloths and coverings
Select and mix paints, stains, and finishes as needed
Use brushes, rollers, and spray equipment properly
Repair minor drywall, wood, or surface imperfections
Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas
Follow safety procedures, including ladder and equipment safety
Communicate professionally with homeowners and team members
Ensure projects are completed on time and to quality standards
Qualifications:
Previous residential painting experience preferred (or willingness to train)
Knowledge of painting materials, tools, and techniques
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
Reliable transportation and punctuality
Ability to follow directions and job specifications
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, and at heights
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
Pay rate: $25-$32
