Duties/Responsibilities:
• Provide general employee benefits client service & support to producer(s).
• Assist producers in creating client communications and proposals.
• Must be proficient in the following:
·Carrier agent portals (Kaiser, Health Net, Anthem, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Cal Choice, Warner Pacific, United Healthcare)
• Delivers policy and plan documents.
• Follows up with clients periodically to assess financial, family, and other changes that may warrant modification of coverage.
•Help with changes/corrections/additions/deletions to employee benefit plan elections
•Deep knowledge of benefit plan coverage, structure & eligibility. Must be able to discuss plan coverage and eligibility with the subscribers.
• Knowledgeable in COBRA administration to be able to efficiently communicate with third-party vendors on client’s behalf.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Thorough understanding of life insurance as an aspect of financial planning.
•Ability to clearly explain complex insurance policies and packages.
•Ability to provide comfort to beneficiaries after the death of a loved one.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software: Excel, PowerPoint & Word, and Adobe PDF Software
