Sandy Township, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania will be accepting Applications for the position of Full-Time Police Officer until November 23, 2022. The Sandy Township Police is a progressive 21st century law enforcement agency. We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our growing team as Sandy Township and the neighboring City of DuBois will be consolidating governments to form a new City in January 2026. Currently both municipalities are planning for the creation of a new modern, accredited, 21st century City police force with advancement opportunities and specialized units and positions. Compensation and Benefit Highlights: • Starting Salary $ 54,874.06 (2023) • Top rate 6th year $ 73,164.34 (2023) • Excellent Health care benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision and Prescription • Generous Vacation, Personal, and Sick Leave benefits • Holiday Pay • Longevity Pay • Life insurance • Defined Benefit Pension Plan • Overtime and Compensatory Time Eligible • 12-hour work schedule, every other weekend off. Applicants must meet the minimum requirements: • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older. • Possess a High School Diploma or GED. • Have successfully completed a MPOETC Certified Police Academy and possess current Act 120 certification or be eligible to receive certification. • Be a United States Citizen. • Possess a valid Pennsylvania driver's license. • Must be physically and mentally fit to perform all the duties of a Police Officer. • Be able to perform the essential job functions outlined in the Police Officer Job Description.
