The Pittsburgh Legal Diversity & Inclusion Coalition (PLDIC) is a growing coalition of 39 law firms and in-house legal departments, which have come together to work collaboratively to build a more diverse and inclusive Pittsburgh legal community. Affiliate members include both of the two local law schools and the local bar association. In light of the upcoming retirement of the current Executive Director of this non-profit organization, the Coalition is seeking a person to fill this role, on a part-time basis. The Executive Director is the most critical position in the organization, tasked with developing and implementing strategic plans that promote diversity and inclusion within the Pittsburgh legal community, overseeing all aspects of the organization, and working closely with and reporting directly to the Board of Directors. More specifically, the responsibilities and duties of the Executive Director are as follows: Develop and implement strategic plans that align with the Coalition's vision, mission, and goals in partnership with the Board of Directors. Develop annual budgets and manage operations within approved budgets. Communicate effectively with the Board to ensure that it has all information necessary to function properly and make informed decisions. Enlist the Board's input and support in policy decisions and promoting the Coalition's visibility in both the legal and broader community.
