Emergency and Disaster Management Program Director, Jefferson College Health Professions, Thomas Jefferson University, East Falls Campus The Program Director will work with the Dean of the Jefferson College of Health Professions, Jefferson Administration, and Jefferson Emergency and Disaster Management (EDM) faculty, adjuncts and staff to promote and execute the mission and goals of the EDM Program, ensuring a superior education for Thomas Jefferson University (TJU) students in accordance with current standards. Must collaborate closely with other Program Directors. Duties involve collaboration with the Dean of Jefferson College Health Professions (JCHP) and TJU EDM Program faculty and staff to assure the EDM Program's compliance with identified assessment criteria. Academic, University & Community Responsibilities: Assume the leadership role in the development and delivery of EDM education at Thomas Jefferson University - East Falls Program. Serve as liaison between the EDM profession and the University and College. Interpret trends in EDM education and health care to the University and College officers, including public policy regarding education and health. Interpret the goals of the University and College to faculty, in conjunction with the Dean's office. Represent the Department and College to community and professional groups. Actively engage in professional association activities. Collaborate with other program directors to develop and assist with the research agenda for the program in concert with the University and College's goals. Management Responsibilities: Maintain academic standards for the TJU - East Falls EDM Program which satisfy the requirements of Thomas Jefferson University and those established by the accreditation bodies. Ensure congruence between the educational goals of the program, the mission and strategic plan of the University, College, and Program. Work collaborative to develop educational policies affecting academic programs in the Program with final approval by the Dean of the Jefferson College of Health Professions. Oversee the coordination of the experiential education functions of the Program with appropriate personnel at affiliated institutions. Coordinate the planning, implement
