Applications are due by October 1, 2021 Our seasonal Trip Leaders are responsible for coordinating the logistics of a 3 to 11 week bicycle tour for a team of ~30 young adults. Applicants must be between the ages of 18-29. Main responsibilities include: - Fundraising to participate in the program - Managing trip participants through ongoing pre-trip communication - Securing overnight host accommodations for 14-16 days of the trip - Coordinating with volunteer Build Partners across the US - Facilitating an Affordable Housing Curriculum with trip participants - Creating daily bicycle routes from city to city - Enforcing all Bike & Build policies will on the road - Overseeing and facilitating day to day trip logistics throughout the trip We hire Trip Leaders to be part of a Leadership Team of 4, therefore we do not expect any one candidate to have all the experience outlined here. Trip Leaders typically have some or all of the qualifications listed below: - Experience in event planning or logistics coordination - A passion for service and service-learning - Discussion facilitation skills - Interpersonal communication and conflict mediation - Group dynamic management and leadership - Bike riding experience (all levels; novice city rider to experienced touring cyclist) - Construction or Volunteer Build Site experience - Group leadership and/or volunteer management experience recblid a40z0qpbnm6hpbgzmtzsln5tr1rpkq Qualifications: H.S.
