WIC - CA Children Services

The Official WIC program is available to low to moderate income pregnant women, recently delivered women, breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutrition risk. Fathers can also bring their children to apply for WIC. You may apply for WIC if you are working or unemployed. Check the Income Guidelines Table to see if you are eligible for WIC. Office Information: Program name: california children services. Program Description: CCS is a statewide program that arranges, directs, and pays for medical care, equipment, and rehabilitation, when these services are authorized by the program. Services can be authorized for children and young adults under 21 years of age who have eligible medical conditions and whose families are unable to pay for all or part of their care. CCS defines eligibility and selects the most qualified professionals to treat the child's CCS-eligible condition. However, it is important for you to know that CCS is not a health insurance program. It will not meet all of your child's health needs, only those related to the CCS-eligible condition. Children, youth, infants/toddlers. Agency Hours:Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. Eligibility:Younger than 21 years. Must be a California resident. Must meet one of the following low income requirements: 1) annual family income of less than $40,000, 2) out-of-pocket medical expenses for qualifying child expected to be more than 20% of family income, or 3) child covered by Healthy Families.
