We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks to deliver goods and materials to designated locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to traffic laws, and excellent customer service skills.
Duties
-Operate commercial vehicles, including but not limited to dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and tankers.
-Safely transport goods and materials to specified destinations while following designated routes.
-Load and unload cargo as necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials.
-Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
-Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked and mileage driven.
-Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
-Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding transportation and safety.
Skills
-Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
-Proficiency in truck driving techniques, including route driving and manual transmission operation.
-Experience as a delivery driver with knowledge of safe loading/unloading practices.
-Familiarity with operating forklifts is a plus.
-Ability to operate specialized vehicles such as tankers or dump trucks is preferred.
-Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining logs and records.
-Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
-A commitment to safety and the ability to recognize potential hazards on the road.
