BASIC FUNCTION : The Development Coordinator is a key team member in the Major Giving Team. He or she manages responsibilities that are integral to the success of the office. The role also provides reliable, professional support to the entire Major Giving Team, managing administrative functions, aiding in gift processing, stewardship touchpoints, and travel logistics. The development coordinator will apply skills and knowledge to support a broad array of critical projects and tasks. DIMENSIONS: Indeterminate NATUE AND SCOPE : Internal contacts include sr. vice president, associate vice president, assistant vice presidents, executives, administrators, faculty, students and staff from a variety of administrative units. External contacts include alumni, corporations, foundations, non-degree holding donors. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES : Support staff with calendar management and scheduling internal and external meetings upon request. Coordinates travel and creates detailed itineraries for assistant vice presidents, executive director and gift officers. Develops prospect visit briefings for the vice president, executive director, and gift officers. Updates donor database with action reports, donor and alumni data, and notes to ensure the most current and accurate information is available. Communicates critical updates about key volunteers and donors with team. Supports expense reimbursement for team and liaises with the finance department to ensure timely expense reporting. Liaise with Advancement Services to allocate gifts made with appreciated securities, wire transfers and through invoice. Serve as communication liaison between gift officers, donors and Peabody and central DAR partners throughout gift agreement process. Support the fulfillment of gift commitments through a careful and thorough semiannual pledge reminder process. Prepare and send or staff gift officers to send pledge reminders as appropriate. Prepares scheduled standardized reports or ad-hoc reports on an as needed basis. Maintains current information on assigned constituencies on the database. Performs other duties as assigned.
