Pay Rate: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour (Based on Experience)

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Job Description

CSS Employment Group is currently seeking an experienced Dispatch/Customer Service Representative for a temporary assignment with one of our logistics clients in the Newark/Elizabeth port area. We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented professional with experience in transportation, dispatch, and customer service.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the New Jersey port terminals and be comfortable working in a fast-paced transportation environment.

Responsibilities
Coordinate and dispatch drivers for daily deliveries and container moves.
Communicate with drivers, customers, and warehouse personnel regarding shipment status.
Schedule appointments and monitor container pickups and deliveries.
Maintain accurate dispatch records and update dispatch software.
Enter and manage data using Microsoft Excel and Google Docs.
Provide excellent customer service by responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues.
Work closely with warehouse and operations teams to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications
Minimum 2-3 years of dispatch and/or customer service experience in the transportation or logistics industry.
Required: Knowledge of the four New Jersey container terminals:
PNCT
APM Terminals
Port Liberty
Maher Terminal
Experience using dispatch software.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Docs.
Bilingual (preferred).
Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
Transportation, trucking, freight forwarding, or logistics experience.
Warehouse or distribution experience is a plus.
Familiarity with container movements and port operations.
