We work in a digital-first environment and produce multiple daily newspapers from our hub in Lansing. Candidates must be able to coach both entry-level reporters and those with experience. Good knowledge of AP Style and fundamental newsgathering standards are a must. We interact daily with colleagues in multiple Michigan newsrooms as well as a digital production team and national design studios. Heres what you need: Bachelors degree in journalism or equivalent. Five years or more of daily journalism experience. Editing experience is preferred, but successful reporters eager for a leadership role will be considered.
