Our residential construction company "KBR construction company" is currently in a construction project in Canada and is currently in need of construction workers for the staff of several future projects.
The Construction Engineer Intern assists the Construction Project Team with the execution on building the new facility. This position helps support the day to day operation of the construction process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Demonstrate the Vermeer characteristics of caring culture, demonstrating agility, customer focused, and stewardship and model the associated behaviors.
2. Help review construction plans and specifications with the Construction Project Team.
3. Assist the Director of Construction with field inspections.
4. Help confirm the material and equipment being installed are installed per the plans and specifications.
5. Assist in the implementation of programs to reduce risk to team members, contractors, and the environment.
6. Help schedule, monitor, coordinate and direct in-bound delivery traffic to the appropriate location in an orderly and professional manner.

Education and/or Experience

- High School diploma required.
- Current student pursing a Bachelors’ degree in Industrial Technology or Mechanical/Industrial/Agricultural Engineering.
- Previous internship is a plus.

- Ability to organize and process multiple project documents.
- Ability to coordinate projects to meet established deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing work environment.
- Ability to provide informative and professional assistance when working with customers and co-workers and maintain positive interpersonal relationships which encourage openness.
- Able to utilize lean principles to drive improvement and acts as a champion of the change.
- Demonstrate good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to examine, analyze, and map current processes. Utilizes current information to creatively develop new processes to continually drive improvement.
