Job Summary The Chief Information Officer (CIO) provides vision, leadership, coordination, and advocacy for the effective application of information technologies in a diverse, complex, and dynamic environment. This includes building partnerships and coordinating a holistic Information Technology (IT) enterprise for the college. The CIO reports to the Vice President of Administrative Services and is accountable for the overall success of IT strategies, investments, and implementations. Essential Job Functions Provide an institutional leadership role in optimizing the use of and overseeing college-wide technology systems including administrative systems (Ellucian/Colleague and associated applications); business intelligence, data visualization, and reporting; cybersecurity; network infrastructure; telecommunications; web services; learning management applications (Canvas and associated applications); and Enterprise Service Desk operations. Establish policies and procedures related to the acquisition, deployment, and management of IT resources. Develop and implement data-driven strategies that result in measurable business outcomes. Maintain data privacy and cybersecurity regulations and best practices. Develop the IT strategy aligned with the college's strategic priorities. Manage the IT operating and Technology Master Plan budgets and ensures the effective use of resources. Assists in the development of the technology portions of the capital and project budgets. Develop, recommend, maintain, and document related IT standards, procedures, strategies, and audits of their effective use, and monitor compliance. Collaborate with leadership in the ongoing development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the College's Technology Master Plan; serves on assigned committees. Manage vendor relationships and contracts to ensure high-quality services and value for the college. Maintain current knowledge of trends, technical advances, and research relating to systems, infrastructure, and software applications. Acts as an IT resource for the College on IT issues. Provides direct supervision, coaching, and mentoring to assigned direct reports. Minimum Requirements to Perform Work MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK: Bach
