Finishing Department Manager

EXPERIENCED FINISHING DEPARTMENT MANAGER NEEDED New Era Custom Design and Cabinet Works is looking for FINISHING DEPARTMENT MANAGERS with experience running high end, high production projects. We have been in business since 1979 and have been a leader in the Architectural Millwork field. Our team has done many high end projects that include work at the White House, National Land Marks, Private Estates, ect. We provide our clients with custom stain matching for each project and can match any paint color as well. The applicants we are looking for must have experience managing paint shop/department with multiple finishers and maintaining quality control of the space. Our booths include (2) large prepping booths and (1) Large down draft spray booth with flash dry room. We use a mix of HVLP pray guns and Airless Air Assist sprayer, as well as pressure pot spray systems. Individuals we ware looking for must have a can do attitude, and drive to get work done on time. Task that will be performed: Manage personnel and maintain quality control of finished product Maintain a lean management protocol Assisting in the spray booth for helping get project done Knowledge and skill to adjust spray guns per the material required for the job Operation of Dual Action (D/A) sanders Properly cleaning spray booths prior to top coating product Ability to use power tools, gram scales, and mixing devices Keeping spray areas clean in order to mix the next batch of top coat Filling nail holes with putty Custom mixing stains and paint formulas Providing in field touch up on an as needed basis Effective communicate with Project Management Team Recreate old and distressed finishes Maintaining project schedules and pooling resources as needed Maintaining raw material supplies and custom finish orders though our vendors What we are looking for: Team players Ability to learn new finishing techniques Positive attitude Punctuality and timeliness Ability to communicate technically with our suppliers New Era Custom Design offers top benefits and pay.
