RESPONSIBILITIES As an Operations Research Analyst, you will plan, develop, implement, document, and maintain cost/financial methods, models, and strategies. Operations Research Analyst responsibilities include:- Evaluating and developing (using mathematical, statistical, economic, and engineering techniques) cost models and cost estimating relationships on efforts that reflect schedule, performance, and economic factors- Demonstrating knowledge of the theories, principles, and practices of cost analysis in support of the development of cost estimates that includes data collection, data normalization, data analysis, risk analysis, sensitivity analysis, and/or Earned Value Management (EVM)- Demonstrating knowledge of the theories, principles, and practices of cost analysis in support of the development of cost estimates that includes data collection, data normalization, data analysis, risk analysis, and sensitivity analysis SKILLS The ideal candidate is someone with a desire for continual learning who possesses strong communication (oral and written), problem-solving, analytic, interpersonal skills and is:- able to manage multiple tasks with competing timelines and deliverables- customer and results-oriented- detail-oriented- able to adapt to changing requirements- able to work effectively (independently and/or within teams) across functional areas in a professional and collaborative environmentKnowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas is required:- Financial or business-related computer software, to include the Microsoft Office suite of tools plus add-ons- Government Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process and DoD acquisition processes- Evaluating contractor cost accounting systems for cost, schedule, and performance- Building, improving, and maintaining cost databases, models, and cost estimating relationships used in the development of cost estimates PAY BENEFITS & WORK SCHEDULE Salary offers are based on candidates' education level and years of experience relevant to the position and also taking into account information provided by the hiring manager/organization regarding the work level for the position. This position is hiring for Maryland.Salary ranges vary by location and work level.Salary Range: $77,745
