Part-Time Library Aide

Wor-Wic Community College is accepting applications for a part-time library aide to work 16 hours, 4 days per week from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Duties include performing general reference desk duties in an electronic library center, including assisting students with accessing information on the Internet and in subscription databases and with the basic use of Microsoft Office, keeping the library services equipment clean and operational, and opening and closing the resource centers as needed. Requirements include an associate degree; one year of related work experience with Internet and Microsoft Office applications; the ability to work independently and with the public in a pleasant manner; and strong computer, organizational, human relations, and written and verbal communication skills. The right candidate will represent our commitment to excellence, diversity, equity and inclusion; collaborate and cooperate with others to accomplish the goals of the college; and support new and creative ideas to enhance institutional effectiveness. Preference will be given to applicants who have experience working with library databases. This position is not eligible for benefits.
