RESPONSIBILITIES Description of PositionWe are seeking entry-level and experienced safety professionals to support our team as a Safety Specialist. The successful candidate will be joining a globally dispersed team of Environmental, Safety, and Health (ES&H) professionals who manage programs that are recognized as models in the intelligence community. The position includes a variety of responsibilities that traditionally relate to safety and industrial hygiene including:- Performing surveys to anticipate, recognize, control and eliminate hazards in a variety of work environments (e.g.: laboratory, industrial, and office areas).- Preparing written technical reports with recommendations for corrective actions.- Developing, implementing, and maintaining safety and occupational health programs.- Conducting incident investigations and/or develop strategies to minimize accidents.- Conducting audits, inspections, and assessments then formulate appropriate recommendations for improvement.- Conducting indoor air quality, ergonomic, lighting surveys, and food safety inspections. - Conducting respiratory mask fit tests. - Performing personal monitoring for hazard exposure including collecting samples of dust, asbestos, lead, gases, vapors, and other materials for analysis. - Developing and delivering education and training solutions via multiple platforms. - Coordinating with partners (i.e.: building management, medical, fire protection, environmental, and engineering professionals) to resolve issues that impact the health and well-being of the workforce. This position is responsible for anticipating, recognizing, evaluating, controlling, and eliminating hazards; preparing written technical reports with recommendations for corrective actions; evaluating management systems in accordance with international auditing protocols; delivering education and training solutions via multiple platforms; conducting accident investigations; and coordinating with building management, medical, industrial hygiene, fire protection, environmental, and engineering professionals to resolve issues that impact the health and well-being of the workforce.
