About New Era Custom Design New Era Custom Design and Cabinet Works Inc is Maryland's leading architectural millwork subcontractor. We manufacture custom architectural millwork in the Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia areas since 1979. Many of our projects have been award winning quality for our client. Our shop is approximately 70,000 sqft of manufacturing space to build any size commercial interior project. Our plant utilizes state of the art CNC machining technology along with traditional woodworking equipment for small process orders. Our team is highly motivated and manufactures countertops to the highest quality. We are looking for individuals that are highly motivated with the knowledge and skill set to be on our team. Job Description: New Era Custom Design countertop team is looking for the following qualities in our candidates. Minimum 2 years experience Trained in traditional countertop fabrication techniques. Knowledge and skills to operate tables saws. Knowledge and skills to operate hand routers. Read and understand of shop drawings, floor plans, and section details. Ability to generate parts list/cut lists. Good communication ability. Punctual with a positive attitude and driven to get the job done. Willingness to learn new and advanced techniques in fabrication methods. Cleaning and maintaining working area. Ability to lift over 40lbs.
