NOW HIRING ENTRY-LEVEL & A.P.O.S.T.C CERTIFIED POLICE OFFICERS The University of Alabama at Birmingham Police and Public Safety Department is a five-time CALEA Accredited Law Enforcement Agency. It is the 10th largest police department in the state of Alabama with more than 130 sworn police officer positions and 250 employees total. The UAB Police and Public Safety Department is a progressive and innovative law enforcement agency which relies strongly on the doctrine of community policing. The department is seeking professional men and women to join our team who are best suited to continue the mission of the department. As a sworn police officer, you will serve as the first line of response for accomplishing the department's mission and goals as it pertains to the protection of life and property, the provision of patient healthcare services in the hospital and the provision of all other services required by UAB and the department. You will join a team of dedicated men and women who have committed to protect and serve the UAB community.
