Development Review SupervisorApplications are now being accepted for the position of Development Review Supervisor in the Development Services Section. This is an exempt position with a starting annual wage of $71,053 - $85,259 / DOQ.The District offers an excellent benefit package which includes medical, vision and dental insurance, paid vacation, paid parental leave, 12 paid holidays, 401K match and membership in the Public Employee Retirement System of Idaho (PERSI).Primary Responsibilities: The Supervisor is responsible for the operation and supervision of the Development Review Section, including decision-making, personnel supervision, and the application of engineering knowledge and skills. The Supervisor oversees Engineer Technicians, and the review of plats and street improvement plans, and acts as Project Manager on Cooperative Development Projects constructing street and intersection capital improvements. The Supervisor will assist the public, contractors, engineers, and land developers with the interpretation of policies, plans, specifications and regulations. Will also investigate and resolve development-related problems and complaints.Qualifications: The successful candidate must have considerable working knowledge, gained through a combination of construction experience and education, of design review, subdivision review, and land development processes as well as project planning, project management, and civil engineering principles and practices. Requires previous successful supervisory experience, a good knowledge of management principles and practices, and strong decision-making capabilities. Must have a good knowledge of AASHTO/ITE/FHWA standards and guidelines, surveying and construction design practices, along with street and drainage construction principles. Requires considerable knowledge of Word, Excel, AutoCAD/Bluebeam Revu and GIS software. A Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required. A Professional Engineer license is strongly preferred. Or, any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, may be acceptable.A completed ACHD application is required and must be submitted to HR by 4:30 p.m., June 1, 2022.
