Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Faculty Colorado Mountain College Vail Valley at Edwards Please go to: www.coloradomtn.edu/employment for more information. Full time faculty positions begin in August 2023 with a 30 credit hour (170 day contract per Board Policy 4.12) teaching load annually. This position may include up to 9 credits administrative release for college-wide oversight duties for the Paramedic Program, which includes administrative and compliance duties with state and national accreditation bodies. CMC is seeking an experienced EMS professional and dynamic educator to be the EAD instructor in the Paramedic Program. Teaching duties may extend to: EMT-B, EMT-B Refresher, Advanced EMT, Paramedic EMT Labs and/or Refreshers, Basic EKG, IV/IO Therapy, and related classes. The successful candidate will work to strengthen partnerships with local employers such as hospitals, health care agencies, and the local ski areas. Lead faculty in this discipline additionally facilitate recruiting, training, and scheduling of EMT Skills Assistant staff and Adjunct faculty. They also maintain and purchase supplies, coordinate testing and state required documentation, assist in the collection of student records for clinical experiences, and identify local opportunities for clinical partnerships in conjunction with the college-wide EMS Clinical Coordinator. With reassignment time granted, this faculty position serves as Program Chair and includes curricular oversight in coordination with the Dean of Nursing, Health Science, Public Safety, Wellness, and Outdoor Studies . This position also serves as the faculty leader and reporting liaison for Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP), Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs(CAAHEP), National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT), and State of Colorado Dept of Public Health and environment (CDPHE).Teaching responsibilities expected of all faculty include: teach course load as assigned, evaluate courses and assess student learning, meet established course, program and learning outcomes, comply with guidelines and policies, maintain office hours per established standards, develop rapport with students, assist with and part
