Shipping Manager

High End Luxury Retail Job Summary: As the Shipping Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing staff, fostering a positive work environment, ensuring customer satisfaction and proper departmental operation. You will have a hands-on approach and be committed to the expansion & success of the business by implementing strategies that increase productivity and enable the company to hit revenue goals. Duties/Responsibilities: Direct several operational aspects including all shipping operations, customer service, returns processing and training of new associates. Responsible for scheduling, staffing and managing a team of 10-12 and overseeing the packing stations Oversee all returns processing and outbound shipping for online and store purchases. Ensure that we meet and exceed our customers expectations. Partner with vendors for purchasing of all packing and shipping materials to include boxes. Hire, train, coach and motivate team members in your facility; you will be responsible for setting the team's goals and managing them. Establish, follow, and enforce safety standards and procedures in compliance with a healthy work environment and legal requirements. Share knowledge with other locations and headquarters on effective practices and process improvement ideas that can be implemented. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Established track record of taking ownership and delivering results. Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Self-starter with a positive attitude who can work with many different teams and people. Education/Experience: 3-5 years of shipping/warehouse management or similar experience with increasing responsibilities in a fast-paced organization. Previous retail experience preferred. Bachelors Degree preferred. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods standing, walking, packing merchandise in a warehouse/distribution center environment.
