EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE CHANCELLOR Eastern Iowa Community Colleges is seeking a full-time Executive Assistant to the Chancellor. This position will serve the Eastern Iowa Community College Campuses housed in the district office. Starting Salary: $50,000 to $62,000/year. Position Summary: The Executive Assistant manages the day-to-day operations of the Chancellor's Office, providing secretarial support to the Chancellor. The Executive Assistant is required to handle high-level, sensitive information with efficiency and confidentiality, and is often asked to draft correspondence. Minimum Qualifications: AA degree preferred, with excellent communication skills and 2-3 years of administrative secretarial experience. Outstanding organizational skills and proficiency in business correspondence, office practices, and office equipment (word processing, desktop publishing, internet, fax, typewriter, copier, and dictation) required. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects necessary. Experience in higher education is helpful. Requires occasional evening and weekend hours. Typical Duties and Responsibilities: Serves as Executive Assistant to the Chancellor. Manage the daily operations of the Chancellor's Office. Prepares correspondence, reports, and other documents. Assists in the preparation of materials for Board meetings. Maintains working and historical files. Greets and screens callers and visitors to the Chancellor's Office. Handles the Chancellor's schedule and mail. Arranges meetings, conferences, and special events, on and off-site, internet and external requests. Coordinates with maintenance, IT, etc., as needed. Makes travel arrangements for the Chancellor, board members, employees, and students utilizing professional development funds. Types and maintains files of purchase orders for office staff. Files and maintains paperwork for titles of District vehicles. Assists in providing backup to other departments as needed. Coordinates City of Davenport and on-site parking for employees. Demonstrates commitment to the principles of Continuous Quality Improvement and to providing outstanding service to internal and external customers.
