Overview: Support benefits functions for Health and Retirement Plans. Assist with analysis, procurement, communication, and compliance. Interface with vendors, partners, management, accounting, IT and the Board. Provide excellent service to participants and colleagues. Associate Benefits Administrator Fund Administration Office seeks an Associate Benefits Administrator. Responsibilities Primary responsibilities include: * Supporting the administration of the Local benefits package - specifically the Health & Welfare, Local Pension and Retirement Plans. * Ensuring adherence to high performance and customer service standards for members, their families, contractors, and the Local Union. * Reviewing all plan documentation and policies to ensure accuracy and compliance with all provisions of the plans and legal requirements. * Developing and preparing benefit plan information and census data and reports to provide information for decision making to partners and/or the Board. * Maintaining benefit plan finances and budget. * Entering and tracking reciprocal payments for accuracy and timeliness. * Planning, developing and maintaining communications for benefits plan offerings through a variety of strategies and methods to ensure effective and timely information for participant awareness and understanding. * Reviewing the effectiveness of the benefits programs in relation to benchmarks and objectives. * Preparing proposals and researching specifications for new or revised benefit plan offerings to maintain competitiveness in the marketplace and ensuring plans meet all applicable regulations, laws, and requirements. * Supporting the refinement and usage of member information management systems. Working with IT partners to ensure systems are performing optimally. * Managing complex special projects and performing research as requested. * Identifying opportunities for implementation of solutions designed to improve service, efficiency, and organizational effectiveness as appropriate. * Providing functional guidance to colleagues and project leadership on a recurring basis. * Supporting t
