Delta Airlines' cancellation policy allows cancellation of a Delta flight for medical or emergency reasons. This policy applies to passengers who suddenly become ill before their flight and therefore cannot travel. However, you must be able to justify your cancellation with valid documentation (ie a medical certificate) and you must cancel your flight before it departs.
