EMS Dean's Office Coordinator

Position Summary: The EMS Dean's Office Coordinator will provide support to the Dean of the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Science (EMS). This position will act as the primary administrative support person to the Dean and Dean's Office personnel and serve as primary point of contact and liaison between the Dean's Office, students, college faculty and staff, other university personnel, businesses, and public on a range of day-to-day issues. This position coordinates projects and program components including, scheduling and logistics, unit workflow, and identifies areas for process improvements. This position includes event planning for large college sponsored events such as College Meetings and Executive Council Meetings. This is a full-time, benefit and paid leave eligible position with a wage range of $18.50 - $22.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. Responsibilities: Provide primary administrative assistance to the College of EMS Dean and Dean's Office personnel: screen and handle telephone communications, greet and direct visitors, deal with administrative problems and inquiries, coordinate and oversee daily office tasks. Serve as primary point of contact and liaison between the Dean's Office, students, college faculty and staff, other university personnel, businesses, and public on a range of day-to-day issues. Organize and facilitate meetings and appointments for Dean and maintain Dean's calendar. Compose and prepare written documentation and correspondence for the office, screen and evaluate incoming and outgoing correspondence and prepare responses as appropriate. Assist with event planning, College Meetings, and Executive Council Meetings: coordinate dates, and times, venues, attendance, agendas, and catering; take minutes and provide administrative support and follow-up on matters arising from meetings. Assist with content development for college communications and publications including meeting presentations, social media, newsletters, annual report, GEODE, digital screens, and other projects as needed. Gather, enter, and/or update data to maintain departmental records and databases, as appropriate. Assist with travel arrangements and expense reports. Coordinate an
