Serving as a key member of the leadership team and reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the Director of Development & Donor Relations will be a strategic, results-driven, creative, and innovative donor development, donor relationship, and advocacy professional. Key responsibilities include the development, implementation and direction of results-driven Journey fundraising strategies that will meaningfully engage and motivate donors in the attainment of fund development goals. This individual will be an ambassador for the organization and will build strong relationships with volunteers, donors, and community leaders. The position will be actively involved with the Journey Board of Directors, and other stakeholders. The Director of Development will oversee all JMHC fundraising strategies, eventually recruiting, directing, and managing a fundraising staff and volunteers to engage, solicit and secure donations through various fundraising activities. QUALIFICATIONS ESSENTIAL Bachelor's degree in a related field such as public relations, non-profit management, business, or marketing. Minimum of 3 years leadership experience in one of more of the following areas: fundraising, strategic marketing, communications or business development. Demonstrated experience and leadership in successfully advancing an organization's fund development goals and objectives. Proven ability to build on marketing communication campaigns and incorporating fund development platforms and technologies to optimize fundraising results; ability to operate as an effective tactical and strategic thinker. Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring and coaching to build a strong and effective team of fundraising, communications staff and volunteers. Knowledge, experience and proven success in managing fundraising initiatives with demonstrated experience and competency in a minimum of three or more of the following areas: Grass R
